Terms and conditions
These terms and conditions govern the sale of licences, installation, subscriptions, add-ons and services for the Jarvis software through the website, and the relationship between the seller and the buyer.
1. Seller
Alex Poliak
Mierová 24, 900 29 Nová Dedinka, Slovakia
E-mail: apoliak@apoliak.online, phone: 0902 464 022
Supervisory authority: Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia (Slovak Trade Inspection), Inšpektorát SOI pre Bratislavský kraj (SOI Inspectorate for the Bratislava Region), Bajkalská 21/A, Bratislava
2. Definitions
- Jarvis – software (a personal AI assistant) for the Windows operating system, of which the seller is the author.
- Buyer – a consumer (a natural person who is not acting within the scope of a business) or a business (a company or sole trader).
- Licence – the right to use Jarvis on the agreed number of computers during the paid period.
- Installation – a one-off service: installing and setting up Jarvis, connecting the buyer’s accounts, and training.
- Plan (subscription) – a monthly or yearly licence period together with updates and support to the extent of the plan (Start, Business, Pro).
- Add-ons and services – other items listed in the shop (e.g. Jarvis on your phone, the offline AI model, custom work).
3. Order and conclusion of the contract
- In the shop, the buyer chooses a plan, add-ons or services, fills in their details and submits the order with the “Order with obligation to pay” button.
- The order is an offer to conclude a contract. The contract is concluded when the seller confirms the order by e-mail. The seller may refuse an order, in particular if the details are incomplete or the buyer’s computer does not meet the requirements.
- Installation is mandatory with the first order. The contract is concluded in the Slovak language; the buyer receives the order confirmation together with these terms by e-mail.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices in the shop are final; the seller is not VAT-registered.
- Payment is made in advance by bank transfer to the account LT06 3250 0031 5962 5775 (Revolut Bank UAB, BIC REVOLT21), quoting the variable symbol from the order, within 7 days of the order. Payment is deemed made when it is credited to the account.
- The plan is paid in advance for one month or for 12 months. The yearly payment costs the same as 10 monthly payments.
- If the order is not paid by the due date, the seller may cancel it.
- Subscriptions to third-party AI services (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) that the buyer uses in Jarvis are paid by the buyer directly to their providers; they are not part of the price.
5. Licence
- The seller grants the buyer a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Jarvis on the number of computers set by the plan (Start 1, Business 3, Pro 5) during the paid period. The licence is evidenced by a licence key.
- The buyer must not resell, lend, make available to third parties, copy beyond the scope of the licence, modify or decompile Jarvis or the licence key, unless the law permits it.
- The copyright in Jarvis remains with the seller. A custom-made app or modification forms part of the Jarvis licence unless the parties agree otherwise.
- The licence is valid until the last paid day. If it is not extended, the buyer has a further 14 days to renew; after that Jarvis locks until the subscription is renewed. The buyer’s data remains on their computer and they can export it at any time.
6. Installation and delivery
- Installation takes place remotely via screen sharing, which the buyer enables themselves and can end at any time, or in person by agreement. The date is agreed after payment, usually within 14 days.
- If the consumer does not request an earlier start (clause 9), installation and delivery begin once the withdrawal period has expired.
- The buyer provides a computer running Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), an internet connection, administrator access and their own presence when logging in to accounts. The seller does not enter or store the buyer’s passwords.
- The buyer receives the licence key by e-mail. The plan is counted from the day of installation; the following period begins on the day after the last paid day.
7. Support, updates and third-party services
- The seller provides updates and support during the paid period to the extent of the plan. Support response times apply on working days.
- Jarvis works with third-party AI services and accounts that the buyer connects. Their availability, limits, prices and terms are determined by their provider; the seller is not responsible for them.
- Answers from artificial intelligence may be inaccurate. The buyer is to verify important outputs (contracts, figures, professional advice) before using them. Jarvis asks for consent before sending, paying, deleting or publishing; the buyer is responsible for the actions they confirm.
8. Liability for defects and complaints
- The seller is liable for ensuring that Jarvis and the services conform to their description and to the agreement, to the extent and within the periods provided by the Slovak Civil Code (for consumers) or the Slovak Commercial Code (for businesses).
- The buyer reports a defect by e-mail to apoliak@apoliak.online, describing what does not work. The seller remedies the defect by repair or update or, where appropriate, reduces the price proportionately. A complaint is handled without undue delay, within 30 days at the latest.
- Towards businesses, the seller is not liable for lost profit or indirect damage, and compensation for damage is limited to the amount of the price paid over the previous 12 months. Liability towards consumers is not limited beyond what is provided by law.
9. Withdrawal from the contract (consumers)
- A consumer may withdraw from a contract concluded at a distance, without giving a reason, within 14 days of its conclusion. It is enough to send an unambiguous statement (e.g. by e-mail or using the model form below) to apoliak@apoliak.online before the period expires.
- If, when ordering, the consumer expressly requested that performance begin before the period expires and declared that they had been informed of the loss of the right of withdrawal, they lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided (§ 19 para. 1 point a) of Act No. 108/2024 Z. z., the Slovak Consumer Protection Act) and, in the case of digital content (the Jarvis licence), once its supply has begun (§ 19 para. 1 point m) of the same Act). The consumer receives confirmation of this consent by e-mail.
- If a consumer withdraws from a contract for a service whose provision has already begun at their request, they pay a proportionate price for the performance provided up to the day of withdrawal (§ 20 para. 5 of Act No. 108/2024 Z. z.).
- The seller refunds payments without undue delay, and no later than within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal, in the same way in which they were paid.
- Businesses do not have the right to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason. A paid subscription period is not refunded; you simply do not renew the subscription.

10. Dispute resolution
- If a consumer is not satisfied with how a complaint was handled or believes that the seller has infringed their rights, they may turn to the seller with a request for redress. If the seller replies negatively or does not reply within 30 days, the consumer may submit a proposal for alternative dispute resolution to an alternative dispute resolution entity, for example the Slovak Trade Inspection (Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia, www.soi.sk).
- Disputes that are not resolved by agreement are decided by the competent courts of the Slovak Republic under Slovak law.
11. Personal data
The processing of personal data is described on the Privacy policy page.
